Additional Services
The 4 services below provide a unique massage experience and require that our therapists undergo additional extended education and training. Their knowledge shines through in these truly special modalities.
-
Neuromuscular Massage: Neuromuscular Massage works on reducing pain in the body that is brought on by trigger points located in the tissue. Trigger points are sore, painful spots that can be found in the muscle. Otherwise known as knots, these highly irritated points produce a painful response in localized and referred parts of the body. Direct pressure is placed on each trigger point to prevent cycles of muscle pain and spasms. This massage is beneficial for all clients, and extremely helpful to those who suffer from chronic pain and discomfort related to muscular injuries.
- Prenatal: For women after the first trimester of pregnancy, or who are still in the first few months after delivery, this is a relaxing massage that relieves tension in the body. By using long strokes and kneading techniques, this treatment will promote circulation and aid in the discomforts of pregnancy. Often times relieving water retention, chronic fatigue, headaches, sciatic discomforts, and muscle aches. Pillows and bolsters will be used to comfortably position a woman to a side lying position.
* High-risk women should provide a doctor's written consent prior to a massage.
